cheers lrrp, but its the large jungle first aid pouch type used only by the usmc during the early part of the war not the army type. also i believe the water bottle was also different to the army version. but thanx for your offer.

Nope, thats the std Army ALICE/LC-1 type used from late Nam i believe to present day.
USMC one is sort of similar in size/design but made of webbing and the flap closes by 2 pop studs.

Dustoff have you seen my thread, I have a full set on there.. I now it's not the M14 pouch type, but the kit I have was much more common than the older stuff.

hello...seems to be plenty of M14 pouches appearing on the market at the moment....10 to 15 quid mint.... as for jungle first aid pouches used by the marines, they were normally ww2 issue with only "US"printed on the outside but as the years progressed the army adopted this pouch but the difference being they somehow applied the US along with the medical symbol incorporating the "winged serpent" symbol....so now you know early and late.....prices vary hugely.....but wouldnt pay more than 20 quid....canteen covers evolved with the marines starting from ww2 but dated canteencovers till they actually utilised the army gear....go to www.usmilitariaforum.com and search for canteen covers......will blow your mind
