Here is a post from Kevlar Kev, taken from another forum: hey guys kevlar here , myself and marty are holding a get together next month down on our old site that we are now reopening .the site is in mid wales the site is 220 acres and has a mixture of hills , pine forests , woodland with a nice little stream going through it , bunkers , fire base plus plenty more . as i said everything is spread over 220 acres and would take you nearly a day to walk it and see everything . our main reason for a meet up is to meet any potential new members for our new vietnam re enactment group . the idea is that we get together and chew every bodies ideas over have some beers . burgers and some period tunes . Here is a rough out line of the weekend for those who would like to come down the main reason for this weekend is for us anyway is a work weekend plus photos, and also on sunday a full days vietnam re enactment . if people want to help and muck in thats fine .....very important you read this you are under no obligation to help what so ever , if you want to come down and chill out or walk the site in your kit and take photos thats fine with us I MUST MAKE IT CLEAR THAT THERE WILL BE NO BATTLING OR RE ENACTMENT ON THE SATURDAY.........SUNDAY ALL DAY ONLY

10.00 HOURS PEOPLE WILL BE GIVEN A TOUR OF WERE THE BOUNDARIES ARE ( US STANDING ON TOP OF THE HILL TELLING YOU WERE YOU CAN AND CANT GO )
10.30 people go off and do their own thing ....walking ...........photos but NO FIRING OFF WEAPONS
mid day chow down ..........chat
1.00 pm ..........people carry on with what they are doing
6/7pm again chow down build a big ass fire fire up the barbie turn the sound up on the box and then pop those lids on those buds.
sunday........................now yer talking
REVEILLE..................... 8.00am
make yourself look beautiful and have some scram
9.00 am all squad leaders briefing of the days events and scenarios and a health and safety meeting
9.30am.....................initiate the first scenario of the day
then things go from there
a good days battling and re enacting
5/6pm break camp ....saddle up and homeward bound
now i know there seems to be a big divide between airsoft / namsoft and re enactment
we are a RE ENACTMENT group that use AIRSOFT WEAPONS we have no issues with namsoft like a lot of re encnactors do , the way we see it is that at the end of the day we are all doing the same period .
my take is that if we are holding a vietnam re enactment weekend and a group of namsoft people wish to join us ........as long as they are wearing the correct kit for the correct role they are portraying , is doesnt matter if they come in half original and half repro kit .....................i,m not going to go to deep with this . on our weekends that we will be running namsoft is fine but here are a couple of guide lines that we would like people to follow
1....................if you wearing a mixture of original and repro kit that fines as long as is is right for the role you are portraying
2....................there are a lot of differences between namsoft and re enacting .....when people come to our site they are expected to take the re enacting role . it,s not us telling you what to do but trying to get some structure in the weekend ..... we would go by another site rules if we went on a visit
3.................there are no safe zones and no respawning areas , if someone is shot then they must use a scenario were they are treated by their squad medic things like legs wounds or arm you can still play on. if you are shot dead then you must not battle for 5/10 minutes or until the battle has passed you by.
4............there are not many rules ..but we do ask that people that come to our site abide by the rules and treat the set scenarios as if they were in the NAM . once details and scenarios are passed on to squad leaders it will be up to them how they conduct their squads or platoons ie hand signals the way you patrol and so on .
For the whole weekend the charge will be £15.00 to be paid on arrival
you will be expected to bring you on food and beer ..........and tent / sleeping gear
pyro is ok but please let us know what your bringing .......................no red flares
once we have a rough idea of how many people would like to drop in , we can then start planning sundays scenarios
directions will be given more near the time .......but just to give you a rough idea ................mid wales 30 miles from brecon.......2 hours top from the bridge ..........2 hours top from telford (less ) 2 hours ish from wolvehampton
so you can see it is pretty central .
very important here ...............NAMSOFT and REENACTORS CAN MIX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we are hoping to make this a success and to hold a national event once a year
