The Last Patrol is a Vietnam living history unit working in partnership with the Kansas Museum of Military History. Located in Augusta Kansas the museum has a UH-1H Huey helicopter restored and mounted on a trailer so it can be taken to events. The Last Patrol staffs the helicopter with equipment and crew. The helicopter can be configured as a Slick or Medivac. We are also building a 2.5 ton Gun Truck for the museum. We have the front and side armor up and in place and are now cutting the back armor and various bits and pieces we need to outfit the fighting box in back. When finished it will roll out with a complete working radio system and vehicle intercom for all crew positions. Truck is not named yet. The museum also has an M-60 and M-551 tank on site along with various other bits of rolling stock. We have a web page with a lot of reference material for Vietnam era reenactors at www.lastpatrol.orgThe museum has a web site at www.kmmh.orgWe are always looking for new recruits. There are no dues to join (we prefer to see you put your money into your equipment). The Last Patrol has members based out of Wichita, Andover, Augusta, El Dorado, McPherson, and also a representative in Denver Colorado.
