Here is a flyer that you can pass to your buddies. We currently have 10-20 NVA/VC and 10-20 US impressions lined up for the event. We have a location and people lined up to set up a firebase, and have about a hundred acres we can fight over. Please contact me if your unit is interested. Thanks, Franz. Attachments:

AAR...
82nd Airborne Div.
ALL AMERICAN AIRBORNE LEGION
Virginia - Carolina Military Historical Association, Inc.
REPORT :
Our unit arrived on site at 2030 hrs-L. We quickly registered and moved out...as we walked onto active field. It was dark and lightly misting rain. The fire base could be seen in the distance with flares being set into the sky and noticeable weapons fire being exchanged.
With fear of having my unit fall victim to enemy ambush, i elected to take a round robin through thick wooded brush, and total light discipline. We were successful in our land night navigation through the woods, coming out exactly where we intended.
We deviated any threats from the road coming from the main gate... we skirted a wood line, passed a open grassed trail and entered a second woodline less the 50 yards deep. Located an observation tower that gave full visual of the battlefield and climbed up into it....from our vantage point we could see the battlefield and the firebase which was less then 150 yards away.
As soon as i climed to the top of the tower, we observed a patrol in the field coming right at us. Do to pore visual recognition we assumed the patrol to be VC as my guy next to me reported sampan hats, after asking for confirmation. The patrol stopped dead inn their tracks at the base of the stand, the first man in line went to raise his weapon on the members of my squad waiting below...i opened fire which in turned made everyone else in my squad to engage...after a few sec of exchange of fire, the enemy units weapons went silent.
I quickly bugged out of the tower and with my squad started heading for the firebase. We engaged with more enemy units, before entering the firebase. We found the base to be lightly secured, and hastily pre paired with shallow fixed fighting positions. I got my unit to dig in, and reinforce the firing positions.
Shortly after the last hole was dug, a LRRP element arrived, adding to the security of the fire base. Included with the LRRP unit were two captured NVA. A SOG officer went to work gathering what intel they could recover from the NVA.
As the NVA were being interrogated a strong VC attack on the fire base in sued, after two hours of intense attack, we managed to kick back the attack and captured roughly 15 to 20 NVA and VC combatants.
Our RVN troops took control of the Prisoners, lined them up and executed them in front of their American adviser's, and my Paratroops.
The Friday night battle lasted until 2am Sat. The LRRP patrol went back into the bush were they bivouacked until dawn. My paratroops and my self remained on the line at the firebase, sleeping in our fighting positions.
Next morning we ate chow and again re engaged with the enemy, with the majority of the fight being taken place in the field by the LRRP units.
Post action report:
This was my units first event doing Nam, the members of my unit enjoyed ourselves and look forward to the next Nam event.
I suspect being this was our associations first non WWII event, that numbers were low for it being a new site to this hobby.
I encourage every one who can make the next event, to please do so. The best way for this hobby to grow is to go to events....pass the word...and make great friends in the field.
This assoc welcomes new faces, new ideas, and allows for no scripting of battles there for the battles are fluid in nature with countless numbers of possible outcomes.
Thanks to Matt Cousins for use of land, to the Virginia - Carolina MHA staff for putting this event on.
