Hi there fellow reenactors!
I'm from Michigan USA and got into Vietnam reenacting about a year ago. It started back when I was about 13 and I saw Apocalypse Now. After that, I began to really dedicate time and effort to really understanding the war in Vietnam, particularly the advisory era ('59-'64). After several years of genuine interest and reenacting the American Civil War and WW2, I decided to finally try out Vietnam and I've been working on those kits ever since. I currently have three Vietnam war kits. One is US 25th ID infantryman c.1968 and that is probably my most thorough, although I still need to get a period looking AR-15. The second is a MAAG adviser c.1963 whic is probably my favorite impression. And my last kit is a Soviet adviser to the VC main force c.1967 which is my only kit I have a somewhat-suitable weapon for (T53 carbine).
Anyway, that's my story on how I got into Vietnam war reenacting. I'm looking forward to talking with all the fine folks here.
My regards, Grant
