Now that the War&Peace Show is finishing (if nobody else takes it on) would this not be a great opportunity to hold an all ''Vietnam War'' event with all the groups and vehicle owners, somewhere that could run on going reenactments during the whole time, patrols, objectives, anything, command structures can be formed well in advance, with each 'unit' having a desk in the command post to coordinate patrols. This event can also be for people that don't want to take part in anything other than being there just doing their thing around their own setup. This type of event would mean a very large area of land/wooded area. Is this a daft idea
or are there groups that would come together for a private meet for the same amount of time, a few days setting up and whatever days would be needed for the main meeting, NVA/VC could have a nice setup in the woods here and there and do their thing, doing night attacks on the US/Aussie firebase. Maybe start a Facebook page discussing it, I myself couldn't run a tap, let alone an event like this one I'm proposing…just some git with an idea waiting for people to mull it over, there must be many a Nam dude with his own ideas to add to an event like this.
